Since moisture is the enemy of bonding, we give the patient two Sal-Tropine tablets to take one hour before the bonding appointment. They effectively dry the mouth and make the procedure more reliable. Check with your phamacist for any contraindications.

I want to tell you how much we appreciate your product.  We have been using Sal-Tropine for approximately 10 years with very effective results.  We give it to every one of our patients to take prior to their appointment that we have scheduled for the bonding of their braces.  We also give it to our patients that we schedule to bond brackets to their second molars, and it is extremely effective in keeping the enamel from being contaminated with saliva.  Our successes in bonding brackets is directly a result of the effectiveness of your product, Sal-Tropine.

Sal-Tropine has been a fantastic aid in controlling or eliminating saliva flow for several hours during dental treatment. We give 1 tab for every 60 lbs. of weight to be taken 1 hr. prior to appointment. Patients are more comfortable during rubber dam use, as the urge to swallow is virtually eliminated due to little to no saliva build-up. The dentist can provide higher quality composites as very good moisture control is present. Also impression taking is simplified as saliva is no longer a factor. Side effects are very rare. Sal-Tropine had made virtually impossible bonding procedures predictable in even the most diffcult to isolate areas. I can't imagine practicing without this product. You'll absolutely love it!!

I have used Sal-Tropine in my practice for the last several years and I am not sure what I would do without it. My practice is limited to treating TMD disorders, so I make a lot of splints and do many equilibrations. Giving patients Sal-Tropine prior to their visit provides a drier field of work which allows us to accomplish our work much quicker and more accurately.

Instead of writing a prescription for the patient to pick up, we have found it works best to simply buy the product in bottles of 100 tabs and distribute it directly to the patient on the appointment prior to the working procedure. I routinely recommend Sal-Tropine to other dentists for various dental procedures.

One of my team members described to you (Hope Pharmaceuticals) how we use Sal-Tropine in our practice and how it has affected our treatment results.

We use Sal-Tropine routinely on initial and progress bandings/bondings on posterior teeth. I have found using it significantly reduces bond failure due to saliva contamination. as well as reducing the frequency of loose bands. Its use saves patient treatment time and reduces the inconvenience of repairing broken appliances. In addition, it appears to reduce the frequency of enamel decalcification when appliances loosen.

We use Sal-Tropine as directed and have not had adverse reaction to its use. I find one tablet for patients 100 lbs. and less is adequate, while using two tablets for over 100 lbs. Naturally, we do not use it in cases of cardiac, vascular, or blood pressure problems nor with patients given an asthma history. Also, we ask patients to leave out contact lenses for four hours when taking Sal-Tropine.

I have been using Sal-Tropine in my practice for almost 30 years. As an orthodontist, it is imperative that the mouth be dry in order for the appliances to properly adhere to the teeth.

One tablet is given to the patient to take one hour before the banding appointment (when braces are placed). It has been my experience that at least 98% of the time the patient's mouth remains dry throughout the procedure.

Each patient is screened before the medication is dispensed, and no side effects have resulted.
